Joburg has 3 spectacular theatres namely the Teatro at Montecasino, the Lyric Theatre (at Gold Reef City) and the Joburg theatre. Treat yourself to one of the many world-class productions at one of these theatres.
- Shop until you drop!
Joburg is home to many fantastic shopping centres. Close to Sand River Guest House are Morningside Shopping Centre (with a French market every Sunday morning), Woodmead Retail Park, Makro, Village Walk, Sandton City, Hyde Park, Fourways Mall and the Design Quarter. Between them these shopping centres offer everything from restaurants, to designer outlets.
- Tourists Attractions
Joburg has a lot to offer the tourist and close to Sand River Guest House you will find the Bryanston Organic Market and Montecasino. A little further out but still within easy reach are the Johannesburg Zoo, The Apartheid Museum, The Origins Centre, Constitution Hill, The Lion Park, Gold Reef City, Newtown district, Soweto Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial, Mandela House and Lesedi Cultural Village.
Joburg also plays host to many art galleries including the Standard Bank Art Gallery, Everard Read Gallery, Goodman Gallery and the Johannesburg Art Gallery.
- Fitness
There are two gyms nearby - a Planet Fitness in Rivonia and a Virgin Active in Morningside.
There are several golf courses in our vicinity including Johannesburg Country Club, Riverclub, Bryanston Country Club and Leeuwkop Golf Club. The "World of Golf" is also close by for those just wanting to practice. The World of Golf is located in Woodmead - great if you just want to hit a few balls.
